Of course, depending on how dates are displayed in your language you need to change the 10 or 4 to get the correct sub string. But that's ok. Websubstr ( x, start = 2, stop = 5) substring ( x, first = 2, last = 5) Both, the R substr and substring functions extract or replace substrings in a character vector.
