Web29 mrt. 2006 · I just picked up a brazilian rosewood Howe-Orme Mandolinetto #1625 built by the Elias Howe Co. of Boston with the neck off and a separation at the glue joint of the back. It has a well worn but original case that looked at first like a fiddle case but when I opened it I was surprised to find this instrument. Any ideas of what this might be worth. WebThe Howe-Orme instruments included several guitars and notably an entire mandolin-styled family including mandolin, tenor mandola, octave mandola, and cello mandola. This series pre-dated Gibson's identical marketing strategy by at least a few years, and was very innovative at the time.
